CONCURSO DE DELETREO / SPELLING
(Para todas las categorías)
CAPITULO I
PARTE GENERAL
I. OBJETIVOS
1) Promover el aprendizaje del
idioma inglés en los estudiantes a través de un concurso dinámico y educativo,
orientado hacia:
a) La
excelencia ortográfica, y
b) La
ampliación del vocabulario.
2) Desarrollar la autoconfianza y Potenciar destrezas ortográficas.
3) Estimular el trabajo individual y la sana competencia con
estudiantes, tanto de su establecimiento como otros establecimientos.
4) Fortalecer el lazo afectivo
entre el estudiante y colegio.
II. PARTICIPACIÓN DE
COMPETIDORES
Para participar en la Competencia los concursantes deben cumplir con
los siguientes requisitos:
a)
Ser
estudiante del “Establecimiento Educativo” invitado.
b)
Cada
grado será representado por el estudiante seleccionado según el grado y
categoría a la que pertenezca.
c)
La
inasistencia, retardo o incumplimiento en el uso del uniforme de un
participante implicará su descalificación inmediata.
III. FECHAS, HORARIO Y LUGAR
a)
No hay
plazos para inscribirse
b)
Se ruega
formalidad y puntualidad en su participación.
CAPITULO II
DE LOS PARTICIPANTES
Los estudiantes a participar serán de Nivel Pre-primaria, Nivel
Primaria: Ciclo I y Ciclo II, Nivel Medio: básico (1º y 2º básico, 3º básico juntos)
y diversificado (4º y 5º juntos).
I. CATEGORÍAS
Las competiciones se realizarán por grado, primaria ciclo I, ciclo II y
nivel medio.
a) Pre primaria: Ciclo
único. (3
lugares)
b) Categoría Elementary: Ciclo
I, Primero primaria.
Segundo primaria. (3 lugares)
Tercero primaria.
Ciclo II, Cuarto primaria.
Quinto
primaria. (3 lugares)
Sexto primario.
c) Categoría Mid-school: Nivel Básico, Primero.
Segundo. (3 lugares)
Tercero.
d) Categoría High-school: Bachillerato, Cuarto. (3 lugares)
(Comp, Med, CCLL) Quinto.
II. PARTICIPANTES
a)
Los
alumnos deberán deletrear cada palabra en volumen apropiado y de manera clara
para ser escuchados correctamente por los jueces.
b)
La
palabra correspondiente será leída por el Pronunciador. El concursante deberá
acercarse al micrófono y repetir la palabra en voz alta para clarificar que
ésta fue entendida, luego deletrearla y finalmente volver a repetir la palabra.
Por ejemplo, si la palabra es “house”, el alumno deberá decir en voz alta
“house”, h-o-u-s-e, “house”.
c)
Los
participantes contarán con 30 segundos para deletrear la palabra. El tiempo
comienza a avanzar una vez que el pronunciador ha terminado de leer la palabra
en voz alta.
d)
¿Si el
alumno no entendió la palabra podrá pedir en inglés, antes de comenzar a
deletrear, que el Pronunciador repita la palabra, CAN YOU REPEAT THE WORD
PLEASE?
e)
¿En caso
que el alumno aún no haya entendido del todo la palabra podrá pedir al
Pronunciador que le dé un ejemplo de su uso en una oración, CAN YOU GIVE ME AN
EXAMPLE PLEASE?
f)
Una vez
que el pronunciador repita la palabra o la haya contextualizado en una oración,
el alumno deberá decir la palabra en voz alta, deletrearla, y volver a repetir
la palabra. Una vez finalizado este proceso, el JURADO DECIDE SI ENTRA A LA
SIGUIENTE RONDA.
g)
Todo
participante que haya clasificado para la siguiente ronda debe permanecer
dentro del estrado.
III. PENALIDADES
a)
Los
alumnos que sean sorprendidos haciendo trampa, “soplando”, causarán la
eliminación automática del participante.
b)
El
jurado, en conjunto con el comité organizador, tendrá la facultad de penalizar
(burlas, risas, vocabulario soez “malas palabras” etc. Por parte del público o
de otros participantes) que no permitan la normal participación del resto de
los participantes.
c)
Se dará
como correctas solo aquellas palabras que hayan sido bien deletreadas en su
totalidad.
d)
Se
considera una palabra mal deletreada en el caso que el alumno:
·
No
pronuncie al principio o al final la palabra a deletrear.
·
Agregue
letras que no correspondan a la palabra dicha.
·
No
mencione alguna letra de la palabra dicha.
·
Reemplace
una letra de la palabra por otra letra incorrecta, por ejemplo, una s por una
z.
·
Pronuncie
una letra de manera incorrecta.
TITULO III
DEL CONCURSO
I. DURANTE EL CONCURSO
El concurso consta de tres fases.
a)
Fase 1.-
Mención: Un Pronunciador dice la palabra al participante.
b)
Fase 2.-
Deletreo: Cada participante debe deletrear correctamente las palabras dadas por
el pronunciador.
c)
Fase 3.-
Rondas de deletreo: rondas donde están seleccionadas las palabras según su
nivel de dificultad, quien se equivoca queda automáticamente eliminado.
II. ORGANIZACIÓN DE LAS RONDAS
En la primera ronda (colocados ordenadamente en el estrado), se llamará
uno a uno a los alumnos por categoría quienes escucharán la palabra leída por
un jurado. Si la palabra es deletreada en forma incorrecta, comenzará el
proceso de descalificación.
En caso que la totalidad de los participantes de la categoría
deletreen en forma incorrecta, tendrán derecho a pasar otra ronda de palabras.
- Las siguientes rondas tendrán el mismo funcionamiento, hasta obtener
dos ganadores por categoría.
TITULO IV
DEL PRONUNCIADOR, LOS JUECES Y
MODO DE DELETREO
I. PRONUNCIADOR Y MODO DE
DELETREO
a)
El
Pronunciador encargado de decir la palabra la dirá en inglés de manera clara y
evitando conducir a error al participante.
b)
El
participante debe decir la palabra, luego deletrearla y decirla nuevamente.
c)
Si el
participante no entiende la palabra, podrá pedir que la repita. (CAN YOU REPEAT
THE WORD PLEASE?)
d)
Si aún no
sabe la palabra podrá pedir una oración donde aparezca la palabra en contexto.
(CAN YOU GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE PLEASE?)
e)
El
participante tendrá un máximo de 30 SEGUNDOS para deletrear la palabra de lo
contrario perderá la ronda.
II. LOS JUECES
a)
Habrá de
2 a 3 jurados los que no serán funcionarios de ninguno de los colegios
participantes.
b)
Los
jurados son responsables de decidir si las respuestas están correctas o
incorrectas.
c)
Los
jueces tienen la autoridad de resolver cualquier disputa y/o ambigüedades que
Puedan ocurrir. Sus decisiones son de carácter final e inapelable.
d)
El
criterio principal de los jueces será determinar si el deletreo estuvo correcto
o incorrecto dentro del margen de tiempo.
e)
Los
jurados no permitirán tener ningún implemento para escribir de ningún tipo.
f)
Si los
jueces no creen haber escuchado el deletreo en forma correcta, pueden solicitar
su repetición al participante.
g)
Los
jueces eliminarán a un participante si empieza a deletrear una palabra, y
después comienza nuevamente sin
solicitarlo verbalmente. Sin embargo, el participante puede pausar su deletreo
y continuar con el mismo dentro del marco de tiempo establecido.
a)
Toda
eliminación deberá ser lo más discreta a menos que el participante solicite las
razones de su descalificación se le hará ver en forma privada.[1]
